Welcome to White Spruce
White Spruce Music is a music production company located in Calgary Alberta, and is dedicated to helping emerging artists create professional and impactful recordings. White Spruce Music was founded in 2020 by Ben Laughland.
Why White Spruce?
White Spruce Music specializes in capturing and producing the unique sound of the artist. Music is an extremely personal art form. The environment and atmosphere surrounding an artist can drastically alter the performance of the same song. White Spruce Music's production process is comfortable, easy and natural which results in a final product that sounds polished yet authentic and emotional. Working with White Spruce Music is laid back and the music is given top priority.
Music takes time to create. Every song requires unique time and attention. At White Spruce Music the recording, mixing and mastering prices are all set at a fixed rate. This means there is no hourly rate. The artist is able to know how much their song will cost up front without worrying about spending too much time/money working on the song.
About Ben
Ben Laughland is a multi-instrumentalist, producer and singer/songwriter. He has obtained a Specialist and Professional Certificate in music from Berklee College of Music. Ben has plenty of experience performing around Calgary with various artists as well as solo. In 2017 Ben was a member of the house band at Ranchmans Cookhouse and Dancehall. In 2019 Ben performed at the Palace Theater for the YYC Music awards. Ben also hosts an open mic and jam night at Mount Royal University.
Ben has a passion for creating music and working with artists to create impactful music.
